Good material deserves to be used
Some surplus material is unavoidable in furniture manufacturing. Some upholstery fabrics and leathers go unused, for example because the remaining piece of fabric is no longer suitable for upholstering the planned piece of furniture. That doesn’t mean the material has no other use. We want to find new uses for high-quality surplus materials, so that upholstery fabrics and leathers get a new life as practical products instead of going to waste.
Resourcefulness in everyday production

Every product is special
The colours, patterns and properties of the surplus materials vary depending on which upholstery fabrics and leathers are left over from our production. That is why every batch is different and gets its own look from the materials available.
The first fabric bags made from surplus upholstery fabrics were presented at Habitare Pro, where they delighted visitors at the event. Since then, the bags have appeared at other events and found their way to our customers. Each bag is a concrete example of how high-quality surplus materials can be given a new purpose and their story can continue.
A small effort – a part of a bigger way of thinking
Products made from surplus materials are one example of how responsibility and the circular economy show up in our work in practice. We use materials as efficiently as possible and look for ways to extend their lifespan.
The same thinking runs through ISKU’s operations more broadly: making use of what already exists, refurbishing furniture and extending its service life.
